FIRM-P Clinical Simulator
This is the home of the FIRM-P simulator, the interactive version of the framework for knee instability after anterior cruciate ligament injury published in the Journal of Experimental Orthopaedics (ESSKA) by Dario Giunchi, Matteo Denti and Marc Barrera Uso. It runs entirely in your browser: nothing you enter is sent or stored.
How FIRM-P came about, which problems it addresses and the principles it rests on are described in the introductory article.
On a phone the simulator is designed for one-handed use. For a full reading of the references and the anticipated objections, a computer or tablet screen is more comfortable.
The article is open access: read it in the Journal of Experimental Orthopaedics.
Note. The simulator is a clinical reasoning tool for healthcare professionals. It explores predefined hypothetical scenarios and does not replace a medical consultation. The treatment decision, surgical or conservative, is a medical act. Framework and texts are released under CC BY 4.0, the code under the MIT licence.
